All Trade Bait, All the Time

Another blog I have been waiting to include in this series is All Trade Bait, All the Time. It is run by a fellow Dodger fan and blogger, which some may know as Stealing Home. On top of the awesome Dodgers cards he displays, you may see awesome pictures like the Vin Scully bobblehead banner he has going on right now. Like the name implies, there is always trade bait so don't hesitate to visit his blog and swing a deal. 

Tomahawk Empire

Probably one of the newest blogs on the block, Tomahawk Empire is run by my good friend Brad. Brad primarily PC's John Smotlz, but he does collect other Braves greats such as Chipper Jones and young studs like Freddie Freeman. His blog doesn't just focus on cards though, as he does talk a little baseball from time to time. He predicted the Tigers beating the Dodgers in the World Series this year, which is bleghhh. Anyways, head on over and say hi. I am sure he would appreciate getting connected with some more bloggers. 

Royals and Randoms

The final blog I will be highlighting today is one I ran across about two weeks ago. I don't see too many Royals blogs, so finding this was a nice surprise. Shortly after following, Josh (I think he runs the blog) ran a contest that I have yet to see before. It was called Baseball Sheep, and the point was to follow the rest of the pack. Josh asked a ton of cool questions, and although I didn't win, I had a great time reading some of the responses. I plan on reaching out to Josh in the next few weeks to work out a trade, but until then I will send some viewers over his way.

Although Marcus is a Padres fan, he runs a pretty awesome blog. We have swapped cards a couple of times, though it is probably time to do it again as I have a decent stack of Padres for him. Marcus is a big Padres fan, but maybe a bigger Andrew Cashner fan (how do you not love that hair). Be sure to check out his blog if you haven't already.

This Way to the Clubhouse

I recently completed a trade with Mark over at This Way to the Clubhouse. That post will be posted sometime in the next few days however. As the picture usually denotes, Mark is a Mets fan. But he collects more than just Mets. He has quite the wanted list for some colorful Topps parallels, so be sure to check that out. He also runs a cool series that he calls Four Topps that is definitely a cool flashback to "junk wax" era cards. This Way to the Clubhouse is definitely a blog you want to put on your daily reading list. 

Tenets of Wilson

The final blog I am recommending today belongs to frequent contest winner, Matthew. Don't let the picture fool you, Matthew is actually a Cardinals fan, but I figured I would show off an awesome card I sent him awhile back. Matthew has one of the largest want lists I have ever seen for a blog, so make sure you check it out and help him out.

Foul Bunt

If you haven't visited William's fine blog, Foul Bunt, you are missing out. I met started talking with William a few months back, and he is one of my favorite people in the card community. We have been sending each other cards back and forth for awhile now (I actually have some cards ready to go out to him on Monday), which is always a cool thing to have. If the incredible card above didn't give it away, William collects Orioles. He also collects autographed baseballs, however he is toning his collection back to just HOF autos. Head over to Foul Bunt, you won't be disappointed. 

Baseball Card Breakdown

That GIF says it all. I haven't had the pleasure of dealing with Gavin yet, though we may work something out soon. Baseball Card Breakdown is one of my favorite blogs to visit, and not just because of all the fancy moving pictures. Gavin has some genuinely awesome posts over there, including an awesome series about the "Homer at the Bat" episode of the Simpsons. Be sure to check it out!

One Man's Junk (Wax)

The final blog of the post is One Man's Junk Wax run by Jeff. In case you couldn't make out Mike Trout from above, Jeff is an Angels collector. As the blog name implies, Jeff has a love for junk wax. He sent me a ton of Dodgers a while back and I am sure he may be able to help out your junk wax needs as well. Head over for a great read, and work out a deal while your there.

So I decided to change up the name of this series. It was previously called "Highlighting a few Underrated Blogs", but with so many good blogs out there it is tough to really consider any of them underrated. I will continue to highlight some of the blogs that deserve more traffic and eventually work my way up to the bigger blogs.

Plaschke, Thy Sweater is Argyle

As most of you already know, Greg runs the awesome Dodger blog Plaschke, Thy Sweater is Arglye. (If I were a scout, I would give that name an 80 FWIW) Greg is probably the reason I got into blogging, about cards at least. I have been reading his blog for a couple of years, but it wasn't until I really got into collecting that I truly appreciated his collection. The man has 316 (!) unique Matt Kemp cards, which dwarfs my 123. The photo above comes from his blog, and is also the reason I started watching Parks and Rec. If you don't already follow Greg, you are missing out on some awesome stuff. Also, watch Parks and Rec!

Off Hiatus Baseball Cards

Off Hiatus Baseball Cards is run by Tony, a great guy that I have had the pleasure of completing a trade with recently. As you can see from the picture, Tony collects Robin Yount as well as all things Brewers. He ahs a hole in his collection from the early 2000's to present day, primarily in some of the secondary Topps sets and the unlicensed sets. Be sure to head over there and work out a trade. 

The Angles, In Order

This fantastic Angels blog is run by Tom. We traded a few months ago, but maybe it is time we do it again. I have been saving up Angels cards for awhile and even threatened to send them, but just continued to add cards to the pile. Tom PC's Tim Salmon, but won't pass up any of the other fishy Angels. Be sure to head on over and talk with Tom and work something out.

 If the Angels played in any other place than the greater-LA area, I might root for them, but for the time being I will proudly walk around in this shirt:

Fantastic Catch

I'll be honest. Weston's blog was a big influence is changing the name of this weekly series. Like the name suggests, Weston's blog is a fantastic catch. A Cardinals fan (Ucckk!), Weston PC's some of their young studs, including Joe Kelly and Lance Lynn. He is also on a mission to collect every rookie card out there from 2010 to present. Check out his blog and be sure to give him a follow.

Big 44 Sports Cards

If that sweet looking McCutchen auto doesn't convince you to check out Nate's blog, I don't know what will. Nate is a Pirates fan and is on the lookout for sweet bucs to add to his collection. He is also trying to complete the 2013 Topps Chrome set.....in all blue parallels. Those cards are #'d /199, which means that Nate's quest won't be the easiest in the world, but is still attainable. Head over and see if you can help him out.

Playing With My Cards

Last but not least, we have Ethan who runs Playing With My Cards. I recently stumbled upon Ethan's fantastic blog, and it is quickly becoming one of my favorites. Who doesn't love bubblegum cards? Ethan, like myself, collects Dodgers, though that is hardly the end all to his collection. He has some awesome mini collections including Getting a Grip, 42, The Turtleneck Collection, Mmmmmm... Doughnuts!, and his Birthday Cards. Be sure to head over and check it out.

Johnny's Trading Spot

You'll hear a little bit more about John later this week when our most recent trade post goes live, but just know that John is an awesome guy. Seriously, if you don't check out John's blog you are doing yourself a serious injustice. As you can see from the picture, John is primarily a Braves guy, though he does have quite a few interesting mini collections. Including Causing a Stir, Playn Dirty, Turning Twos, and my favorite Shadow Shots. Be sure to check it out.

Uncle Charlie and the Public Enemy No.1

Don't let that Ruth fool you, this is another Dodger blog. In fact, it might just be the newest one out there. I'd like to say that I helped influence Evan start up the wonderfully named blog, but I'd rather not take credit. I "met" Evan on Twitter and eventually we started talking about cards. He has decided to get back into collecting after being out of the game for quite some time, so be sure to help him out. I'm sure there are a ton of cards he would love to trade for. 

Need More Cardboard

Need More Cardboard is run by Andrew, another fantastic blogger. Like John, Andrew is primarily a Braves collector. It seems to me that the blogosphere is full of nothing but Braves and Dodgers bloggers. Andrew also has a penchant for the 90's - but then again,who doesn't. I've traded with Andrew before, and from all accounts he is a great guy.

I guess I'll make this a weekly ritual, posting about three blogs at a time. Eventually I will get to the blog powerhouses, but I'll stick to smaller ones for now. Thanks again for reading!
